The problem is when you're using the manager to make stuff, as I've said before. The stone metal will automatically be able to be made into crafts and furniture because all metals do that. This means that if you try to use the manager to make stone chairs for your dining room then you'll see this:

Make stone chairs
Make stone chairs

And there's no way to tell which is which. It's annoying.

As I've said before, it uses rock, not stone.
Construct Stone Throne (fake metal)
Construct rock Throne (actual stone)

But if you called it something else, like fused stone, wouldn't it show up as "Construct fused stone throne"?

Could you do something similar to make stone anvils?

I'm pushing around the idea of making a Poul Andersen type Elven civ without the cannibalism, pacifism, and wood fetish and an iron/steel allergy instead (another question of course; IS it possible to transfer the Elven wood hysteria to another substance?). But the whole idea falls apart because you need iron to make anvils.

No, it takes that from the Adjective.
You'd have fused stone armor + fused stone chairs or stone armor + stone chairs.
It works fine as is though, because of the subtle difference I mentioned already.
