Walls are basically counted as part of the natural terrain once they are built,
hence why you can't view them with Q or T after construction.(At least I remember reading this somewhere.)

It would be -awesome- if they could destroy buildings, but they cannot.

He probably had some damage to his spine / brain, aka, nerves. That's a permanent thing, unfortunatly.

Any creature with the [BUILDINGDESTROYER] tag can destroy any building. I think.

Known ones are... Trolls, Dragons, Titans, Bronze Col., Ogres, Ettins, Scorpions, Giant Spiders, and I cant think of any more. Mind you I'm not -certain- about all of these.

I also have a problem like that, except with the elves, but I'm dwarves so I don't know.

The thing I hate most, if the liaison dies then there is never a new one.
The one from the humans was an elf who had lost his left arm. Due to that pain he passed out every other square.
And since he took so long to get to my base, he was ambushed by goblins. Mostly due to spawning alone.

Yeah, they have to be trained as "Hunting" or "War" before you can assign them.

Unless one of your fighters likes dragons, they won't get adopted by / follow anyone.

Actually it can happen. I had a siege where one group of goblins started in a small area that had no access to my part.

If you want to fix it, just dig outside your fortress and make all the little nooks connect to the outside. It's the only way to be sure.

The stuff isn't forbidden or owned? The dwarves can get to it? You have free dwarves with item hauling enabled? The dwarves can get to the destination stockpile? The stuff isn't on fire? (I think the dwarves no longer try to pick up stuff that is on fire.) The stuff doesn't have a monster sitting on it, scaring dwarves away? Do the stockpiles have weapons and armour, of all types, qualities and materials enabled?

I can't really think of anything else it could be.

Nope. Yup. I have 52 idlers, about 15 -dedicated- to hauling. Yes, its 1 Z-Level above, up the stairs. No it's not a fire. No monsters in my barracks. No, each is specified, easier to forbid the stuff I don't want them wearing.

Uhh.. I think I found the problem. Some leather shields (Shh, I made them on purpose.) were in the leather armour bin. Though I still don't know what the problem was with the bolts, my only marksmen ran all the way downstairs (3 Z-levels) got one stack and went up the to range until they were all gone. >_> Ahh well, thanks for the help!

You must have a barracks, which can be accomplished by placing an armour stand or weapon rack and making the surrounding area into a barracks.

Or a bed, and switching the barracks option to "Y"

Maybe there was a rebellion? Maybe they're mercenaries? Maybe they're Duergar?
Thats where you get to make your own little stories in your head.

In the same essence that the humans could just be plain evil, the elves could be drow, etc.

The only one who works on DF is Toady One. I think his brother helps him sometimes, though.

But yeah, I wish pipes would become placeable as well, it would help a lottt
